1974 Gibson SG Standard, with ebony board. All original except the input jack nut that was changed due to a breakage. Original Tarback pickups, 5.21ohm neck and 7.41ohm bridge at the output jack and oh what a sound! If you haven't played or heard one of these legendary SGs you need to! Full bodied tone from the tarbacks and sustain for days! The guitar has the "beefier" neck and is not one of the later 70s pencil thin necks, it has a very low action and just plays like a dream, plenty of life left in the frets with no divits etc. Finish checking is minimal, various dings and scratches which are prone to a guitar of this age that has been played but no structural issues here it's as solid as a rock, some laqeur repair by the input nut which shows up much worse looking than it is in the pics, no neck, body or headstock repairs other than what is mentioned by the input , some scratches on the headstock faceplate that seems to occur on many of the SGs from this era, chipping of the chrome on the bridge and tailpiece, please refer to all pictures or contact us with any concerns or questions. This is not a closet queen or collector piece please look at the pics. If you have questions please feel free to ask. No repairs to the neck, headstock etc, the solder joint on the neck pickup was touched up as it was loose. This one is a player for sure, comes with a non original Gibson protector case.
